This app does not collect, transmit, or share any user data. Everything you write stays on your Mac.

Detailed policy

1. What we collect

Nothing. GrayCat Markdown makes no outbound network connections of any kind. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK, no telemetry pipeline. The app does not have a user account system.

2. Where your documents live

All Markdown documents you create or open are stored exclusively on your local Mac, either in the app's sandbox container (~/Library/Containers/com.graycat.stickymd/Data/Documents/) or in any location you explicitly choose via the macOS file-save dialog. Documents never leave your machine.

3. Third-party code

The only third-party runtime dependencies are the open-source JavaScript libraries markdown-it and markdown-it-task-lists. Neither library makes network calls or accesses any system resources beyond what the app provides. No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are bundled.

4. Clipboard

When you click a Copy button, the app writes content (plain text and/or HTML) to your system clipboard. This content is handled entirely by macOS; the app itself does not upload or log clipboard contents.

5. Publishing Modes and local images

The app's "Publishing Modes" feature helps you prepare content for platforms like WeChat Official Accounts or Toutiao. This is a clipboard-preparation feature: the app does not communicate with any third-party platform's servers. When copying in Toutiao or WeChat mode, local image files you have already chosen are read from disk and embedded as base64 data URLs in the clipboard HTML. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by the app itself; the platform's own editor handles re-hosting after you paste.

6. Uninstall

Removing the app also removes its sandbox container and all associated local data. Documents you saved to locations outside the container (e.g. ~/Documents/, ~/Desktop/) are your own files and are not affected.

2. 你的文档存在哪里

你创建或打开的所有 Markdown 文档，都存在你本机的 Mac 上：要么在 App 沙盒容器 ~/Library/Containers/com.graycat.stickymd/Data/Documents/，要么在你通过系统另存为对话框明确选择的位置。文档永远不会离开你的设备。

3. 第三方代码

运行时唯一的第三方依赖是开源 JavaScript 库 markdown-it 和 markdown-it-task-lists，两者均不发起网络请求，也不访问 App 之外的任何系统资源。没有集成任何统计、广告或追踪 SDK。

4. 剪贴板

当你点复制按钮时，App 会把内容（纯文本和/或 HTML）写入系统剪贴板。这由 macOS 本身管理， App 自身不上传或记录剪贴板内容。

5. 发布模式与本地图片

"发布模式"功能帮你准备给公众号、头条号等平台的发布内容。这是一个剪贴板准备功能： App 不会与任何第三方平台服务器通信。在头条号或公众号模式复制时，App 会把你已经选中的本地图片文件读出来，以 base64 data URL 形式嵌入到剪贴板 HTML 里。 App 本身不会上传任何内容到任何地方；粘贴后平台自己的编辑器会处理 re-host。

6. 卸载

卸载 App 会同时删除沙盒容器里的所有本地数据。你另存为到容器之外（比如 ~/Documents/、~/Desktop/）的文档是你自己的文件，不受影响。

7. 儿童隐私

App 年龄评级为 4+，不收集任何年龄段用户的任何信息。

8. 政策变更

本政策的更新会发布在此 URL，并更新"最后更新"日期。
